CPR for Family and Friends

This course teaches CPR skills for the lay rescuer such as parents, grand-parents, scouts, & babysitters who do not require certification.  A participation card is awarded.

 

Infant Module includes CPR skills and first aid for choking for babies from birth to one year.  Fee:  $25/person.  Course length 1.5 hours.

 

Child/Adult Module includes CPR skills and first aid for choking for victims ages one year and up  Fee:  $30/person  Course length 2.0 hours.

 

Combined Modules Infant, Child, and Adult Fee:  $35/person  Course length 2.5 hours.

First Aid Classes

Family and Friends First Aid

Learn basic first aid skills for the lay rescuer in the community such as scouts, parents, and grandparentsA participation card is awarded at the completion of this 2.5 hour class.   Fee:  $25/person

 

Heartsaver First Aid

Learn how to handle medical, injury and environmental emergencies in this 3 hour certification course.  Designed for workers requiring certification. Can be combined with Heartsaver CPR. 

Fee:  $45/person for First aid only, Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid combined:  $35/person

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

Learn about accident prevention and how to handle medical, injury, & environmental pediatric emergencies in this 3 hour certification course.  Recommended for staff caring for children.  Fee:  $35/person

Heartsaver CPR

This certification course teaches CPR skills for the lay rescuer who must respond to a cardiac or respiratory emergency in the workplace.


Adult Module with AED-includes adult CPR skills and first aid for choking for victims ages puberty-adult and how to use an automated external defibrillator.  Course length-2.0 hrs.  Fee: $40/person

 

Additional Optional Modules:

Infant Module includes CPR skills and first aid for choking for birth-one year with optional mask training.  Fee:  $45/person  Course length 3.0 hours.

 

Child Module with AED includes CPR skills and first aid for choking for victims ages one year through puberty with optional mask training.  Fee:  $45/person  Course length 2.5 hours.

Combined Modules, Infant, Child, and Adult

Fee:  $50/person  Course length 3.5 hours

Certification Card provided upon successful completion of skills testing. American Heart Association requires renewal every 2 years.


 

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider

Fee: $68/person for new provider includes AHA BLS course book, and $55/person for renewal and or no book. Course length: 4 hours

2 year course certification card provided upon successful passing of multiple choice test and skills testing.


On-line Training Options for Certification Courses

For Workers or Healthcare professionals requiring certification, American Heart Association offers on-line training courses for Heartsaver and Basic Life Support. Part 1 of the course is completed on-line and then Part 2 & 3 practice & skills session is scheduled with an instructor to complete the hands on practice and skills check off. Click here for more information from MO Dept of Health and Senior Services Safety Basics will provide CPR and First Aid training on-site at your day care center. Classes are taught by experienced, health educators who make classes enjoyable with hands on practice and advice so that participants leave feeling confident with their skills.
